Day Treatment
NRH offers day treatment programs for persons with stroke, spinal cord injury, and brain injury. The services, provided at the main hospital facility, are designed especially for individuals who are able to live at home, but whose daily lives can be improved through organized, intensive outpatient therapy. The focus of the day treatment programs is to successfully reintegrate individuals into home, community, and vocational environments.
The day treatment programs feature three-day-a-week and five-day-a-week regimes of individual and group therapy that are tailored to each person’s rehabilitation needs. The programs incorporate specific goals that are monitored, evaluated, and modified as needed to ensure that expected functional outcomes are achieved.
Candidates for admission must be medically stable, require minimal nursing support and have adequate endurance to participate in a group therapy program.
