Dr. Hawkins is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine department at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. After studying medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Salome completed a Rotating Internship at the American Osteopathic Association in Wilmington, Delaware, and an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Following her Internal Medicine Residency completion, Dr. Hawkins served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. She has a medical staff appointment in the Department of Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital.
